On Thursday, I took the kids to the Lane Co. Fair. I was a little hesitant on going by myself with the kids but it was actually really fun for all of us! We rode rides, pet animals, ate ice cream, and played a carnival game. Gage chose to ride the "mocha-cycle', the alligators and of coarse the ride with the guns. Gabby rode the canoes, the hot air balloons and the gun ride. They had so much fun! They played the pick a duck carnival game in hopes that Gabby would win a unicorn and sure enough, she chose the Large Prize so both kids got 2 stuffed animals. Gabby's highlight was meeting a 3 month old foal and a beautiful Morgan Stallion. Gage wasn't quite as interested in the horses as his sister. He loved watching the BMX bike tricks and the skateboard tricks. Although it was hot and a little crowded, it was a very fun day!

Sunriver
My parents rented a cabin in Sunriver last week. Although we were bummed Bryce couldn't get the time off work to join us, I took the kids for 3 nights. We had a great time! We played games, went on bike rides, played at the park, hot tubbed, rode ponies, watched movies, fed deer, and ate way too much! Thanks mom and dad for a fun getaway!

No Training Wheels!
Tonight Gabby rode her bike without training wheels! We are so incredibly proud of her! She was determined to figure it out and has been practicing a lot but tonight, she just got it. After a few crashes, she keeps getting back on and is loving her new big girl bike!

Ems Game
On Thursday night we were given tickets to the Ems Game. When we walked into PK Park, Gabby and Gage were asked to do the Levis Sack race. Gage chickened out right before it started but Gabby still did it with an 8 year old girl. She was nervous but being with an older girl helped. They didn't win but had a great time and won a fun Ems backpack. The kids actually watched most of the game before turning to the iphone for Gage and drawing for Gabby. They enjoyed Prince Pucklers Ice Cream in a classic ems cap and both got balloon animals (a horse and a monkey of coarse) and then we went home. It was a fun evening doing something different than the normal routine.
